K-Town/Fillmore: nice venue,
as already mentioned before...
we came, rocked the house and drove home!
Bühl/Café Pharagaff: a clean youth centre with a noisy concert
room (glass and stones) and a crowded backstage room. The PA was
too small for real punkrock and the local technicians had a hard
time with us, especially the light-guy who tried to be creative
with his lightshow (once again we're not hippies, and we don't need
no colourful flashing lights and especially no darkness when a song
is finished, even punkrockers have to tune their guitars from time
to time) The locals were mainly friendly, the food was good, we
had enough beer and then we drove home...
Later we heard that the promoter is fed up with putting on shows
because somebody destroyed the toilet. As the rogue who did this
will never plead guilty and apologize, we do this as we feel responsable
for our fans. SHAME ON YOU, YOU DIRTY LITTLE FUCK!go kill your parents
or some nazis if you can't handle your agressions
Ansbach/Spekdrumm: Bavaria, a small-town outer district right
between a factory and the railway, an old hall made mainly of glass
and stones, 3 undescribable support acts, drunken punkers on the
streets at 7 pm, dogs, neighbours calling the police, public puking,
chili con carne but enough becks, Jägermeister, friendly promoters
and technicians. After the show a guy offered us to sleep in his
tower but several other people warned us to do this, so we drove
home.
Bochum/Blackout: even if the last show there sucked due to different
reasons, we decided to give Tobby a second chance. Big surprise,
the catering hadn't changed very much, (sandwiches, fruit and sweets,
huge fatloaden pizzas), but we had enough beer and Jägermeister
and this time the crowd was very cool, we had a lot of fun on stage,
especially with Peter, Frank and his weird Ruhr-Area Friends. The
accomodation was absolutely not bad (a penthouse with enough beds,
a badroom, and a stereo, but no kitchen, therefore, the view over
Bochum was very impressive). The next morning we had breakfast without
having to ask Tobby for it. He's fast in learning how to treat a
guest, you just have to tell him...
Zweibrücken/JUZ: Again, stones and glass and a PA that's
not worth of being called so. sandwiches, lasagne, beer and Jägermeister.
The backstage room had a TV-set. The promoter was a bit angry because
we came too late (anyway, a soundcheck was useless with this equipment).
This town is just a few miles from Home, so we drove back...
Schopfheim/Café Irrlicht. Nice small place with sleeping
places, backstage room and a kitchen over the concert room. Unfortunately,
Chumbawamba played a few kilometers away, so the "crowd"
was rather small. Later, when some people arrived from the other
concert, we had a good party with DJ Polle and DJ Safari Bob, Longdrinks
galore, waahey. Unfortunately, Rocket and I brought our bicycles
to cross the Vosges the next day; sports and hangover do not go
together very well, but we managed to come home somehow....
Eichhofen/Brauereigaststätte:BEWARE OF BAVARIA!...was
what we thought, but hey, what a nice surprise. The show was organised
by two nice elderly punkrockers in a brewery in a very tiny village
in the middle of nowhere. The PA was good, the catering excellent,
the accomodation perfect (hotel rooms in the same building with
a view to a small river full of fish). The after show party very
funny, with Jägermeister galore and a petite drunken punkrockchick
trying to mate with Rocket before passing out on the stairs. Those
people knew how to party, but unfortunately it was the last show
there, due to the usual conflicts with the local squares..
Linz/Ottensheim OpenAir(Austria): Hell yeah, we'll come back
any time, kittys en masse, a great crowd, one of our best shows
ever (you know, motivation is everything). unfortunately, we had
to drive after the show, because we had to play at 12.30 in Bonn
the next day. I think we missed a good party, RATS. Anyway, you
can listen to our show here
Bonn/Rheinkultur Festival: Very tired after driving through
the night and the morning we didn't expect very much, also because
big stages give us the creeps! But we were surprised again! We had
everything we wanted, drinks, vouchers for food, a nice roulotte,
the mighty DUMBELL playing before us, a huge thunderstorm sweeping
away the crowd with a lighning hitting a Döner-stand right
after we finished playing (Thanks, Lord, excellent timing, the best
lightshow we ever had), a kinky weird band (Soulwax) with a stage
manager 8how ridiculous) trying to put up their show in the chaos
after the storm, Madel visiting us, drinking, eating, yelling at
the potatowoman because she didn't want to give us food for the
vouchers, calling the promoter who solved this problem and any other
problems we had (thanks, Sabine and Alex). Nevertheless a big fuck
you to the policewomen on the motorcycle...
Kusel/Burg Lichtenfels: The location was terrific...a castle
on top of a hill,a didgeridoo workshop, a freshly wed couple posing
in front of the ruins, tourists, punkers, hippies, dogs, children,
hiphoppers etc. Curse, a german hiphop guy with no groove, an apparently
motion coordination handicap (he shaked his arms in a really strange
way) and a religious attitude ("I want to see your souls")
opened for us. We rocked the one or other guy and girl in the audience
and then the stars arrived: BACKTRACK once the most famous band
in Kusel and 10 years after their split, they came back for just
one reason:HARDROCK! What was funny for the first two or three songs
turned out to be a two and a half hours torture...endless guitar
solos, covers from all those bad songs that once were one of the
reasons we became punk-rockers, bandanas, long hair, beards, funny
shaped guitars, handclapping... oh my god!!! And we couldn't leave
because I lent them my drumset...bad bad bad
Neustadt/Hambacher Schloß: Another castle on top of
a hill and the birthplace of German democracy, if I remember my
history lessons well. The local initiative for a youth center set
up this festival and apparently it was the first time they organized
a concert. They were really set up about being 20 minutes late in
their time-schedule and thought that we would leave without playing...
The catering was abit lousy (some salads, and a kebap on top of
the hill), the backstage tent was crowded with locals, drinking
our beer and discussing tipical senseless and unimportant youth
centre problems (you all know what I mean, right?).The accomodation
was ok, and the breakfast too. I dont think that they will ever
organize another show because they were really surprised how much
work this is.
Heidelberg/Schwimmbad: WOW, we had the GREAT honour to open
for the SUPERSUCKERS, one of our all time favourites...and what
a big surprise: they weren't suckers at all. Really nice and friendly
people, and pros if it comes to rock the house! "blabla the
best rock'n'roll band in the world blabla the Supersuckers! blabla,
rock'n'roll blabla." Their show was great but their encore
was even better.... Chapeau!!!..oh yeah, we played there also...and
if you ever come to the Schwimmbad, take a look at the huge pictures
right in front of the bar....
Wiesbaden/Schlachthof: One of our favourite venues because
usually the crowds there are great, the parties hilarious, the catering
excellent and the sleeping room is just around the corner (if you're
able to get some sleep...). This time though, some important people
were missing (Hello to ten buck fuck) and the crowd seemed to be
a bit tired, or maybe they were just too old (I mean even if I like
a band I dont jump around anymore like a 20 year old). All in all
it was not bad, but we had better shows there, and we feel really
sorry for being so lame and tired at the party, (it probably was
the weather!!).... Anyway, it's still a very nice place to go. Oh
yeah, the breakfast was excellent
Trier/Schimmelkeller ExHaus: Again, small room, big PA, a
new record in being loud, more people than last time. but we've
been a bit lame (the audience too!). We somehow missed Linus, our
stage hooverer!!. Anyway, great place and thanks to Pelz
Lehrte/JUZ ArpkeOne of the highlights of this little town
is the duck-pond right in front of the JUZ... The Promoter (Humberto)
is really friendly and so were the local PA guys. We played after
a Bad Brains Cover Band...umh, they weren't too bad but they weren't
good either, especially the singer had too much of a "metal"
touch, and the guitar player must have been an asshole, according
to several witnesses. Anyway, our show was great, and we wish to
thank especially the Lituanian guy who covered us with spit!. Food
and accomodation were OK, we spent the night in one of the probably
most safe houses in Europe, the "Anti-War-House". And
there we didn't just sleep well and safely but also found inspiration...

!
Braunschweig/JUZ Drachenflug: Uuhhmmmm, not quite shure about
that. A lot of people didn't show up because they were still hungover
from the previous day's SNUFF-show. Chris, the promoter, tried his
best (as he said) but probably it was our fault that so few people
showed up, because we've played a month ago in Lehrte, which is
some 30 km away (Anyway, we didn't see any posters, what really
went wrong, Chris?). Catering, accomodation and breakfast were ok
(sorry for flooding your bathroom). The PA-guy was kinda weird,
because he was yelling at us not to turn the volume up too loud....what
a jerk!!. Luckily enough, we had Jochen (our new Mixing-guy) with
us. Pelz would have kicked his ass and then destroyed the speakers
during the last song!! Staffelstein/Zebra: Still in the middle
of nowhere and still a true highlight. Some more people showed up
than last time, but they were kinda tired. The local promoter is
still very friendly and we will go back there in Summer to practise
some serious drinking and outdoor sports. Oh yeah... Hey Matthias,
cheer up, better times will come!
Saarbrücken/KarateKlub Meyer: What should we say?! You don't
shit on the place where you're drinking, right ?!? We had a lot
of fun in this cool venue though we missed some people we were expecting
to come...What's up with you?!? tired?!?!? old?!?!? sick?!?!?!?
or simply dead?!?????
