Why Matchworks? And why does it look so shitty? Huh? Very simple: I needed a font that can be displayed at minimum sizes yet be readable: Matchworks is built on a 5x5 DotMatrix, i.e. if you render it at 10pt Fontsize in Photoshop or Fireworks it's exactly 5 pixels high (for better results with other sizes use 20pt, 30pt, 40pt etc. with anti-aliasing turned off). Kinda useful for Mini-Buttons or less important links (like "send complaints to the webmaster :)))"). No new idea, I've already seen a similar font built for the same reasons, but I couldn't find it again.    The Name? Matrix + Patchwork + Fireworks (that's obviously what I made it for) + Matchbox or so. As you see I'm sometimes really running out of fancy :) [back to the list]
